  • 2nd biggest export sector in Cameroon
  • Cameroon has 20 million hectares of forest. Cameroon has the second biggest forestry reserve in Africa after Congo.

  • Employs 45500 people of which more than half are in the informal sector.
  • The adoption of the forestry sector code in 1994 and the partial ban on exports of round logs have significantly aided the rapid industrialization of this sector.
